The Second Chance Re-Authorization Act at the Correctional Leaders On the Hill conference

We are glad to be attending and supporting the Correctional Leaders Association conference On The Hill and see the work done by Congressional leaders to renew the Second Chance Re-Authorization Act.

Senator Cory Booker, bill co-sponsors Representative Danny K Davis (D-IL) and Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV), Congressman Bobby Scott (D-VA) and others spoke about their support for the bill.

The bill aims to:

✅ Renew the Second Chance Act of 2008, which has provided funding for education and reentry programs, supporting nearly 500,000 incarcerated individuals across the country.

✅ Expand funding for treating substance use disorders, including peer recovery services, case management, access to overdose education and reversal medications, and reentry housing services.

‍

We extend our gratitude to the Correctional Leaders Association, Senator Cory Booker, and all the representatives who have shown their support for this crucial legislation. 🙏
